    How long has Total Quality Corp been doing business?
    We have been in business for over 25 years. In 1986 Total Quality Corporation recognized the need for commercial x-ray inspection services and developed unique line of equipment designed to detect very small defects in large packages.

    What geographic areas do you service? We provide service to the continental United States and Canada. Inspections can be performed in the location of your choice; we offer several options to you to provide the fastest and most cost efficient service possible. We will bring our equipment to your facility or you can send your product to us at one of our conveniently located USDA/FDA approved locations across the country. We will work closely with you to determine the most cost effective alternatives that will accommodate your timeline for completion.

    What industries do you service?
    We provide service to many different types of industries including food & beverage, food manufacturing & processing, pet food manufacturing, packaging and re-packaging, pharmaceutical, personal care, cosmetics, medical device, ammunition and ordinance manufacturing and many more.

    What can x-ray systems detect?
    Our real time x-ray systems can detect a wide variety of contaminates in all types of products and packaging. Some of the most common contaminates that we look for include, metal, glass, bone, stones, rubber and plastic. Many of our customers use our real time x ray systems for quality control to find cracks, voids, leaks, fill levels, and manufacturing defects.

    Do you need samples of my product?
    It is not necessary in all situations, but it the most effective way for us to determine the x-ray system that is best suited for your product.

    How quickly can I get my product tested?
    Our testing process is free and fast, we usually have test results sent to our customers the same day that they are received. Once a sample is received it will be tested and evaluated by one of our trained technicians. We will provide you with digital images of the test results, and a price quote for inspection.

    Where does the inspection take place?
    The choice is yours, we can bring our equipment to your facility or you can send your product to us at one of our conveniently located USDA/FDA approved locations across the country. We will work with you to determine the most cost effective alternatives that will accommodate your timeline for completion.

    Are x-ray machines dangerous?
    No, Total Quality Corporation’s x-ray inspection systems are extremely safe and use only low-level x-ray sources. The equipment is designated Cabinet X-Ray by the FDA is permitted to emit no more than 0.5 milliroentgen per hour at any point five centimeters from the external surface. This is the same specification to which carry-on luggage x-ray inspection systems at airports are required to submit. Total Quality Corporation tests all of our equipment to verify that it is maintained within all required limits.

    Are TQC’s x-ray inspection machines safe for our products?
    Yes, TQC’s real time x-ray systems use a low power x-ray source that will not cause any changes to your product or packaging. TQC’s x-ray inspection systems are designed to inspect products for foreign particle contaminants, product defects, etc. We do not perform irradiation, or sterilization, of your product.

    Does TQC offer rentals of x-ray equipment?
    Yes. We offer weekly and monthly rentals of our equipment. We provide delivery, set up and training to our rental customers.
